Full-Time Child Care
Our centre is pleased to provide preschool child care services for children age 2 to 5 on a full time basis. This program is a part of the temporary child care model set by the government to help restart Manitoba and help those in need secure child care services during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our program runs Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
This program consists of 30 full time spaces for children 2 to 5 years of age.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum takes into account key perspectives of Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Montessori education is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child’s natural psychological development. The Reggio Emilia approach, developed by Loris Malaguzzi, is a program based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment.

Through practical life exercises children learn to care for themselves, one another and their environment.
-
Sensorial activities provide specific opportunities to explore, order, broaden, and refine sensory perceptions.
-
Language exercises nourish the children's vocabulary, enhance self-expression, and develop reading, writing, and listening skills.
-
Math and manipulative materials allow exciting concrete experience with number concepts and operations.
-
Cultural subjects including science, art and music deepen the children's awareness of the world around them.
-
Gross motor activities reinforce spatial and body awareness and strengthen control of large muscles, and eye-to-hand coordination. Indoor and outdoor activities are part of the program.
